DirecTV HD Tivo and Closed Captioning

The comparison table on the DirecTV site implies the DirecTV HD Tivo does not support closed captioning.

Surely in this day and age that cannot be the case. Do they mean the DirecTV HD Tivo just passes the CC info through to the TV, or do they really mean that no CC info is available at all?

The TiVo THR22 definitely supports closed captioning.

I actually don't see what line in that chart leads you to believe otherwise (I didn't see any CC info at all in there) but I'm sure the THR22 can do CC.

Thanks for the reply, and for confirming that CC is supported.

The very last line in the table is labelled:
View subtitles when the program's audio is hard to hear

And the Tivo column is unchecked.

OK - makes sense. That's a specific feature that isn't on this unit. If you click the link you can read more about it.

But standard closed-captioning is definitely there.
