    Cable Card

    I have a Tivo HD model 652.

    I moved to another Cable Service area and now I need new Cards.

    Comcast gave me 2 MultiStream cards and after setup it seems that Tivo accepts only one on position 2.

    Everytime I place the other card on position 1, I get an error 156-12.

    If I keep only 1 card on pos 2 then I cannot record and watch another channel.

    Any Help?

    I don't know that error - have you checked the pins inside the card slot?

      The Pins are ok, but how can I record one channel while I watch another with only one card?

        It's a 'multistream' card because it handles, well, more than one stream.

          OK, I accept and understand.

          But why it does not work on port # 1.

          And although it works on port # 2, it can not record another channel while I watch one.

            Sounds like port 1 may be bad, for whatever reason. If it's not a physical problem, then you'd have to contact TiVo about a repair for it.
            Been here a long time . . .
