Series 3 Signal Dropout

The signal drops out (screen goes black) during abrupt image changes or action scene.Apparently this is not a unique problem as there is an unresolved thread on this subject at tivo.com user forum. Any ideas out there?

We haven't seen it - can you give us some more details? HD or SD? Encrypted or over-the-air? Live TV or Now Playing?

Problem happens in HD only, live and recorded. Signal is from Comcast. I have tried to study on slow playback which is silent and noticed a burst of static sound in that mode as the screen went blank.
