    TiVo Not Displaying Shows

    TiVo Series 2
    Samsung TV

    The TiVo talks to the TV. I can see the now playing list. If I select Live TV or a show from the now playing list the TV goes blank. Tried restarting the TiVo -- didn't help. Saw all the animations on the TV.

    So, the TiVo is talking to the TV and displaying now playing list, Tivo settings, etc. Just no video.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    That's a very, very old unit at this point. I'm not really sure that DTV fully supports it anymore.

    I'd guess this is a failing motherboard, but whatever it is, I don't think it can be fixed these days. If you got a new hard drive, you wouldn't be able to dial it in to get it authorized even.

      The question is: Why can the TiVo display lists, etc. on the TV but not video. There is only one connection between the TiVo and the TV..
      Is it possible that the definition for video feed got corrupted and points to connection that is not in use. Where is this defined?
