I have a direct tv HR10-250 that has a usb port that is not connected internally so I am unable to transfer some of the shows I would like to transfer to dvd and free up some space on my tivo. I have read in a few places that direct tv had these models made without the internal electronics connected to the usb port that is found on the outside. Does anyone know if there are any exising kits available to upgrade this and solve this problem. It is very frustrating since I bought this a few years ago paying over $1,000 with the sales person telling me I could record to a dvd recorder.
Anyway is it possible to upgrade to be able to do this? Please help!
