Tivo hard drive question

This may be a stupid easy question but I wanted to check.

I am upgrading my tivo HD and wondering on the tivo hard drives. I have the old tvio series 2 tcd54040 that uses an ide hard drive connector.

Well is Pata drives and IDE drives kind of the same thing?

Yes, PATA and IDE are the same.

For a TiVo HD, you need SATA.
