Series 3 Stuck on Welcome Powering Up

there has been several posts, but I just want to be sure I tried everything before I have it sent in for repairs. I removed everything, but the HDMI cable. After allowing it to sit overnight I reboot and continue to get to the Power Up screen and continues to reboot. At on point the display showed external drive missing. I thought that might have been a good sign, but still the same reboot to nowhere after that. Any thoughts?

That's almost definitely a hard drive problem. A "replace" kit for your model should fix the problem:
