Ok just a few questions. I have a Direct tv HD reciver with an HD tv. I use an HD cable to go into the HD 1 input of my tv. I also use the rca cable out of the direct tv HD to the back of a series 2 tivo, then to the rca in my tv. So I can watch in HD but record in SD.

I have been looking online for a HD tivo. But some tivos I have seen listed say that they can not work for Direct tv. I assume this means it doesnt have an HDTV input to put in the direct tv output?

Is this the same with a Series 3 HD tivo and an Tv Premiere? And does getting a direct tv DVR mean it has the tvio software in it?

Im starting to think I am better off with my old series 2.
