Upgrading existing Humax Tivo to Dual Layer

General question for the masses.. Is it possible to replace the DVD burner in the Humax DRT800 with an off the shelf dual layer DVD burner? (besides wanting to upsize the hard drive, I would really like to double the amount of quality video recording)..

Don't think so - the TiVo is pretty specific about the firmware in the burner.

Been here a long time . . .
