I have a 4-5 year old DRT400. It has always had an issue with freezing up after playing recording for a long duration, 2-4 hours. The issue seemed to be overheating of the unit. I combated that by running two "puck" fans on the unit during longer play periods, and promptly forgot the issue, until the next long play period. Also, recently the Telephone modem went bad. This was solved by installing a TIVO wireless adapter. Since that time, I have been experiencing system freeze more often. Only after 10-15 minutes of playing a recording. I turned on the two puck fans again to see if overheating was the issue and it seemed to combat the problem. Any recommendations as to what the problem might be? I have read other forum posts and never saw one that had these exact symptoms.
