I have a series 2 (540040) unit that is (was) working fine. I needed to do a clear and delete all reset. The unit did the usual reboot, came up with the normal messages. Problem is, the proecess never finished! I let it run for three full days before finally giving up and pulling the plug. If I plug the unit back in, it starts to boot, then goes back into the clear / delete all process. Any ideas? Thanks, IrvR.

That indicates a hard drive problem. You likely were using a portion of the drive that was fine, but when you did the clear and delete, it accesses a different portion of the drive, which was probably not fine. For replacements, see:
