Hey all,

Unfortunately I downloaded the newest version of TiVo Desktop from tivo.com, and after transferring a couple programs it has broken:

1. Once it thinks there is no TiVo on the the network, I have to uninstall it (complete, I think) and reinstall it for it to notice the TiVo again.

2. Once it thinks "The system cannot find the file specified" for any recording, it can no longer find nor transfer ANY recordings whether I reinstall or not...

3. Once TiVo's f'ing "Upgrade to Desktop Plus" modal dialog appears what, offscreen? at startup, there is no way to use the program again - REGARDLESS of reinstalling, rebooting, etc.


From some searching it seems this is because of TiVo's brilliant 2.7 version of the Desktop software. TiVo.com doesn't seem to have earlier versions. I have since rebooted the TiVo itself but the Desktop app has gotten stuck on #3 above (which could be gotten out of before) so I can't actually use the software any more!

Anyone know how to get a working version of TiVo Desktop?
