  • HUMAX Audio Problem

I just reconnected my Humax DRT 400 after about 10 months of not using it. The image is great, but the audio does not exist. I've checked the cables and they are fine. The cable box itself has audio when connected directly to the TV. Is there a way to test if it's the motherboard, or do I need to have it looked at? Another, possibly unrelated, clue is that the shows that were previously recorded don't play anymore. You click on the show and then after a few seconds it asks you if you want to keep or delete. Just trying to decide if it's worth repairing.

    Thanks

Sounds like a bad hard drive to me, but it could also be a motherboard issue. Try a new drive and see what happens:

Even for the audio problem? Also, how much does a motherboard cost to replace?

      Thanks!

For Humax units, in the $149 range, but if you have lifetime service on the unit, then you should contact us about fixing your motherboard so you don't lose your lifetime service.
