Hello,
My Tivo (TCD540040) is stuck on the "Welcome! Powering Up" screen. I have disconnected everything except the power and video cables. I have attempted to do a Kickstart 54 to check the HD but I never get the HD Testing Menu. I get the 2 amber lights, hut 5-4 and one of the lights goes green. After about 2-3 minutes, the screen goes black then the "Welcome! Powering Up..." screen comes back and the cycle starts all over.
I've managed to get the GSOD from the KS57. The screen says that a serious error was found and it will take 3 Hrs to fix. A day later and it is still stuck on the "Welcome! Powering Up..." Screen. Once or twice its shown the "Almost There..." screen then switches back.
I think it is either the Hard Drive or the Power Supply. I'd like to order the most likely culprit but I'm not sure how to narrow it down.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
