I have a dead DSR6000R01. Can I move the drives to a DSR6000 and still retain the recordings? Is the software compatible, or would I need to put a new image on the drives?
Yes, you can move the drive, but you can't retain recordings. After the move, you have to choose clear and delete everything to serialize the drive to the unit and get it to work...this will delete recordings.
