My Humax Tivo busted. I had a lifetime subscription on it. I just purchased an identical model on ebay. I was thinking that if it's the hard-drive and I switched theml, then I could continue to use my TIVO with my subscription. How easy is it to switch hard-drives?
If that doesn't work, if I can switch them, and if it's a problem with the motherboard, does anyone have any ideas?
I guess what I need to know is, where in the TIVO is the info saved that identifies it as being the TIVO registered to me with the lifetime subscription?
Thanks for your suggestions.
