Hello everyone,
We have a series 2 that had two drives. One failed so I installed a larger single drive using "Instant Cake". After installing it, I was able to connect to the Tivo service a few times, and download a couple of service updates. Took a few hours. Then it told me to go through Guided Setup as it had no program information (makes sense, new drive).
As it goes thru Guided Setup, it asks me things like "what is on channel 17" etc to make sure it has the info it needs. Then it gets to the point where it says it is going to connect to the Tivo service to download information (about 1/2 way thru the guided setup and after it has already tested the connection), and it reboots right there every time. I have done this four times including unplugging it. Reboots in exactly the same place.
Any thoughts on why it would crash right there each time? Now, when it reboots, I cant get out of Guided Setup to troubleshoot it.
Thanks,
dave
