  • Loose RF Connector

    Hi,

I'm new to the forum so forgive me if this is posted in the wrong section. Anyway, I have a Series1 SVR-2000 TIVO unit with a lifetime subscription. Recently while connecting it to a new television, the RF in connector became loose. As a result, the unit does not receive the signal from the coax. As I like this unit and I have some programs on it, I'd like to keep it. Is there a way to repair the RF IN connector? Thanks.

You can try to solder it back in, if you have the equipment. Otherwise, use a higher quality connection such as S-video.

      Unfortunately not an option....

      Hi Michael,

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately I don't think either option will work for me. I don't have the equipment to solder the connection back in place and if I did I'm not sure if I'd know what I was doing . I am using this Tivo unit as a secondary unit with basic cable so no cable box. This removes the S-Video as an option.

OK. A local TV repair shop might be able to solder the connector back on, or you could send it to us and have us do it.

          Repair...

I wasn't sure if your company did these type of repairs. If I could get you to repair it that would be great . What should I do to request a repair?
