I recently changed over to a HR21 and installed a SWM-8 to get around some annoying cabling runs in my house. This receiver replaced an older HR10-250 that was using 2 cables run from the old multiswitch. I would like to use this box in a spare bedroom with only 1 run hooked up to a legacy connection on the SWM.
This works just fine, however... the box does not like to only have one wire connected. It constantly complains about not having a signal from satellite 2 and when I switch channels it still tries to use that tuner, effectively killing my use of the box. I have to reach around the back and connect the cable to the other tuner to get the picture back. Annoying to say the least...
I have tried running the Automatic Satellite Setup (or something similarly named) but there is nothing in the process that I can find that lets me disable the 2nd tuner nor does it self-disable when it does not see a signal.
Other than installing a 2nd cable run, is there a way to get around this annoying configuration?
Thank you all!
John
