hughes series 1 GXCEBOT bad sat input1

Love my 2001 series1 Hughes tivo … The satellite tuner … input 1 has gone out … input 2 sees sat just fine … I can config unit for just one tuner … but it defaults to input 1, tuners are not socket modules … soldered in … can’t swap good tuner 2 to the tuner 1 slot because I am crummy at soldering and will $%#@ the Mboard … any ideas … suggestions.

Unfortunately you really can't do what you want to do...you just need to get that tuner 1 repaired. IF you want our help, see:
