Annoying "bloop" Samsung Directv DVR

I have a Samsung S4080R Directv DVR, which emits an annoying "bloop" sound when performing various functions.

Is there any way to disable that?

Has it always done that, or is this new? This could either be the TiVo sounds (normal, and silenceable in the menus) or a drive beep (meaning impending failures).

Been here a long time . . .

Yes, it's definitely done that from day one......I'll recheck the menus to see if I can disable it. Thanks!
