I have a Hughes Series 2 DVR40 that just began freezing up this week. I had previously encountered this problem so I replaced the HD with one from Weaknees. Now after about 90 days of use, the problem is back. When I turn on the tv, there's no picture. Pulling the plug and re-booting restores the picture.The DVR runs through a UPS and we've had no severe weather so I can be confident that there has been no surge problem. software ver 6.4a01-2-151. It downloaded service data last night. It seems that the problem occurs immediately following the service data download. Did I waste $$ on the new HD?
