TivoSeries 2 Hard Drive Problem?

My Tivo Series II came with 40 Hours. I added an ADDITIONAL drive with 120 extra hours several years ago.

Now the unit constantly repowers. I presume the Hard Drive Problem is with the 40 hour drive?

If I purchase a new Hard Drive from WeaKnees, will I lose the TV Programs that were on the ADDED Hard Drive.

How does this work. Does the Tivo first fill up the boot drive then use the added drive for Recorded Programs?

Yes - you'll lose all shows on both drives, and really both are a pair and need to be replaced either with one or two new drives.

If you want to save shows, you could use TiVoToGo to transfer them to a computer over a network, then transfer them back once you've swapped the drives.

No Network

I don't have the Series 2 networked and since I cannot boot it, I can't even add networking....
