Which standard def box is best to upgrade?

I am currently using an R10 with a Weaknees 215 hour hard drive. It has served me well for 20 months now, but the hard drive is starting to fail. I'd like to put together a replacement box with a Weaknees drive before my R10 fails for good. Which standard definition DirecTV DVR is the best candidate to upgrade? Hughes, Philips, Samgung, etc? Any tips would be much appreciated.

They're really all the same inside. But why not just get a new drive for the R10 if that's all that's failing?
