My Toshiba SD-H400 has started having problems with freezing/pixelization and occasional slow menu response. From what I've read it's likely this is caused by a hard drive problem but before I go for replacement I thought I'd try the "kickstart 57" procedure in the hope that the drive can simply isolate the bad sectors. However when I try the proceedure listed here http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb...23&postcount=2 it doesn't work. Is the procedure slightly different for the SD-H400 or am I not doing something right?
Thankfully my new HD Tivo is arriving tomorrow so I'm not going to be Tivo-less if I need to get the Toshiba repaired but if I could get away with not having to fix it that would be great.
