I was trying to search this forum for any posts on the Hughes HR10-250 and came up blank. I tried the obvious HR10-250 and got nothing. Then I just tried the number 250 and still nothing. I know from the surfing that I have done that there are titles with HR10-250 in them. Any idea what I am doing wrong?

I am considering purchasing an old HR10-250. Will they work as a stand alone off air HD receiver or will I need to subscribe to DirectTV and plug a phone line in?
