Video wash out

I have a Series 2 Dual Tuner TCD649080 TIVO that is about 18 months old. The video is extremely washed out. I unplug the TIVO box and replug it back in. The video returns to normal but slowly degrades to the same washout condition in about 24 hours. The washout occurs when watching 'live TV' or a previously recorded program. Is this a power supply problem?

To be honest, we haven't seen exactly this before. But similar problems are power supplies, so that would be the first thing to try, although you may have a failing motherboard.
