    I hooked up my HD TiVo several days ago and everything worked great but now I'm having HDCP problems.

    I originally connected the TiVo to my Vizio TV with a HDMI cable. It worked fine for several days but today the TiVo started displaying a message saying that the TV doesn't support HDCP and there's no video.

    Hooking up component video cables "solved" the problem, but why did HDMI connection work for a while and then stop?

    I'd prefer to use HDMI cables, is there anyway to resolve this problem?

    Somehow, the Vizio seems to have stopped responding properly to the TV. You might look in the TV users manual to see if it has any HDCP configuration options. It's also possible the cable is bad.
