    Hello all!

    I seem to have a problem where my Tivo Series 3 constantly loses it's signal

    I have been using the the series 3 for around a year and everything ran without problems until the service update on 11/8. I noted the problem a day after i got the 11/8 update from Tivo.

    Details:
    1) I connect the series 3 using coax analog cable (i'm too cheap for digital)
    2) After a day or so, the tivo loses it's signal. i have to restart the tivo to get the signal back.
    3) It's not the cables
    --I've swapped out my coax cable
    --i've changed cable to tv between hdmi and component
    --even changed the power cable
    4) I have unplugged everything for around 3 minutes before hooking back up and still get the same issue.
    5) Hard drive seems good. when i lose signal, the tivo still responds and i can play my recorded shows ok. It seems to be the tuner that konks out.

    Does anyone have any suggestions? i haven't called tivo yet.

    I am having a very similar problem with a Tivo HD I got in September. It did it a few times before the 11/8 update. The 11/8 update seemed to have eliminated the problem until now, and it has happened about 5 times over the last 4 days.

    If I am watching at the time, the frame just locks up. I change the channel and I see black/grey

      Pretty strange on both counts. We haven't seen those issues on a widespread basis, so we doubt it's directly related to an OS update. But often an OS update exacerbates hard drive problems.
      Been here a long time . . .
