  • Toshba SD-H400 with No SVideo

My Tosh SD-H400 was working fine with both Component Video output (to flat panel) and SVideo (to recording DVD). recently there is no signal from the SVideo or video phono plug - but the component video keeps working fine. I've got a lifetime subscription to Tivo on the SD 400 so can't just dump it. Can anyone tell me how/where to get the outputs fixed; or swap to a new unit keeping my tivo subscription. tks s7pete

Sorry to say, I don't think any place outside of Toshiba can repair that.
    Been here a long time . . .

Problem resolved thanks to Toshiba customer support. I called their 800 number and the support person said someone knowledgeable about this unit would call back in 48 hrs. HE DID! Turns out I had inadvertently bumped the Progressive/Interlaced switch (to 'P") which turned off the SVideo. Set it to 'I' and reset the Tivo - Bingo!. Whew!
I'd like to compliment the way toshiba handled this.

Wow - OK - pretty cool. I forget that switch even existed.
