Sony 3000 with Audio but no Video

We have a Sony 3000 DVR. Periodically, I will have recordings that have audio but no video. This will be the same if we turn the TV on AFTER a recording and try to watch that channel while having the TV on "Receiver".Changing the channel will result in a "refresh" of audio. What could be the problem? Is it the tuner in the DVR failing?

Might be. That's pretty hard to diagnose. Unfortunately, you'd have to contact Sony for that type of repair on that unit.
