R10 - 2d Upgrade 2 80GB Drives to 1 160 GB

3 years ago I bought an R10 from Weaknees and had it upgraded to 2 80GB drives. They started to fail. I ordered a single replacement 160GB and original mounting bracket. I just installed it using the IDE cable that was used for the 2 drives. It's hung up on powering up. Two questions:
1. What is the normal time for the powering up screen?
2. Did I make a mistake in using that IDE cable?

Made a Mistake - Ignore This Post

Just call me an idiot. After this post, I opened the machine and despite my very careful installation found that I had failed to plug in the power cable. All works fine now.
