Adding a second drive pulled from anothe TIVO

I upgraded one of my Tivos with a larger drive from Weaknees. The question i have is can I use the drive I pulled from the upgraded unit and use it as a second drive in an identical unit without changing the contents? I would like to just plug it in as is and have the Tivo recognize the additional storeage space without hacking it via my pc. Will this work? any help will be appreciated.

Both units are:

Philips - series 2 - DSR 704
software 6.2-01-2-301
DVR service level p:-
up to 35 hours

Nope - you'll need to "mfsadd" it to the primary drive in the other system. Full info is here:
