Tivo S2 HD and DirecTv

I recently purchased a Tivo S2 HD w/ Comcast while I live in my rental/apartment. I recently put a contract on a house that has no foreseeable Comcast lines. In regards to using DirecTV, my questions are these.

1) Can I use my Tivo S2 HD in conjunction with a DirecTV receiver or otherwise? If so , can you tell me or point me in the right direction to learn how?

2) Assuming #1 is yes, what will I lose HD wise by not using a DirecTV DVR? (I have always really liked Tivo)

3) Assuming #1 is yes, can Weaknees hook me up with DirecTV just outside Savannah, GA?

1. There is no such thing as a Series2 HD unit. If you have a high definition TiVo that works with Comcast, then it will not work with DIRECTV. If you want to post the model #, we can confirm.
2. See above.
3. We can certainly get you connected with DIRECTV. Current promos are the best they have been all year.

Sorry.. It is a Tivo HD Model # TCD652160.

Unfortunately, that unit is not compatible with DIRECTV. We can absolutely get you set up with DIRECTV service, but not using that unit. You can try selling it on eBay if you'd like, or we could give you a trade-in credit...but you'll do better selling it on your own.
