  • Series 2 with DVD burner locking up

    I just bought a refurbed series2 with DVD burner 2 weeks ago. After getting the latest updates the machine runs for a day or so and then stops responding to remote and to buttons on the front of the Tivo. Power has to be cycled. I started set up over again from the begining and it seemed to be working OK. Two days into it it locked up again, exhibiting the same symptoms. The picture freezes and its basically locked up.

    If there's something I can do to remedy the issue I'd like to fix it, otheriwse I need to exchange before my 30 days expires.

    That should probably get exchanged or at least checked. Is it a 40 hour unit or larger?

      Just a plain Jane 40 hour. Its my second Tivo in the house, so I didn't feel the need to go any higher.

        If you purchased the 40 hour unit from us, then you actually have a full 90-day warranty from Humax. You can simply call them at 866-HUMAX-USA and they will take care of the warranty replacement. IF you have any difficulties, let us know.
