Audio problems

Just recently, my Pioneer 810H-S started having some audio playback problems. It has a high pitch type distortion on the audio playback. This issue doesn't occur when playing DVD's or on downloaded content. But does happen on live TV and anything that is recorded (now) from live TV.

I've switched cable boxes and checked the cables. But still have the problem. Has anyone experienced this type of high pitch audio distortion?

I'm hoping its not the Tivo itself as I just upgraded the hard drive about 6 months ago.

Any help would be appreciated...

Have you tried moving the unit to a different location, or have you tried bypassing any UPS or surge protector?

Well after just about losing all hope of fixing this issue and purchasing a new unit. A recent service update has fixed the problem. I guess that sacrifice to the Tivo Gods has come to fruition.
