I have 2 Directivo units, a HDVR2 and a SD DVR 120. We have frequent momentary power outages and glitches here, but both units are connected to APC UPS battery backups, so I don't think that has anything to do with my problems.
The HDVR2 unit has been going into the reboot sequence about once every other day, so I assumed the HD was failing and ordered a 300 GB replacement from WK a couple of days ago (not here yet). However, yesterday the SD DVR 120 rebooted for the 3rd time in about a month. This unit is about 2 years old, a year newer than the HDVR2. Is it likely that both HDs are failing at the same time, or is there somewhere else I should look for possible reasons?
One other question....the HDVR2 is one I purchased from WK, but the other is leased from DirecTv. If that HD is failing and I have DirecTv replace it, will they replace it with a matching unit, or will I have to take a DirecTv DVR? (I won't do that----I'd rather buy another HD from you and keep this unit.
